Woningbouwvereniging Nieuw-Lekkerland is an association that organizes housing for lower-incomes and the vulnerable residents of: Nieuw-Lekkerland, the Netherlands.
The association asked Redkiwi to design a new, modern logo (identity) and a responsive website to go with it. The main requirement for the identity and site was to make sure we made a style that would connect the association with the town of Nieuw-Lekkerland. Also, the design should be clear enough for every target audience to find the information they need.
The desire of housing association Nieuw-Lekkerland for the brand identity was to make the connection to the town of Nieuw-Lekkerland. This made me look for characteristics of the town.
Since the town is located in the area of 'Molenwaard' and is located along the river 'Lek' it was soon clear we needed to use these symbols to present the association.
This made the logo a combination of the symbols of a home (housing association), a windmill (Molenwaard) and the shape of the river 'Lek'. The logo was designed in the existing identity color green and we added the natural color of blue. Both colors that are found alot in nature and water in the area of Nieuw-Lekkerland.
The design was made responsive to make sure every user gets an optimal view of the website.
The design for the responsive website makes sure al target groups (existing renters, future renters and other stakeholders) are attended directly at entering the website. With the most visited pages and contact information found on the homepage the users are led to their goal quickly.
